Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro for Playstation (PS1) can be played as an offline game within your browser. There are plenty of updated and remade entries in the Spider-Man line, but this is still the definitive way to play Spider-Man. It's extremely difficult to argue with that kind of praise from the gaming community, and if you haven't played this game then you owe it to yourself to get it at some point. There's also a few fantastic boss battles, one in particular being second onlyto the level of N.E.S.T.O.R. This in turn leads to some rather interesting gameplayeffects, and some of the more interesting levels are some of the best levels outthere. This time around, it actually looks pretty good, albeit not quite asgood as the first game. The game also follows the pattern of the first game in giving us a framerate that varies from frame to frame, rather than a completely frame-by-frameapproach. The tutorial walks the player through every major mechanic in the game,and gives a bit of context to some of the other games staples, such as theweb-slinging. The game begins, as per previous games, with a tutorial to teach the player how toplay. Our hero is taskedwith rescuing a kidnapped scientist from the villainous Electro, and he's sent toan area that's been plagued by Electro's attacks. The hero isPeter Parker, who now has an important web-slinging job to do. The game's basic premise is similar to that of the first game. There are some minor changesthat make the game feel fresh, but all in all, it's the same game, just witha new coat of paint. It's actually pretty similarto the formula employed in the last game, and it's nice to see the formula adaptedrather well for the current generation of consoles. Theworld is rendered much better than in the previous title, and that's to beexpected given that its predecessor wasn't exactly a cutting edge title.Īs previously mentioned, Enter Electro sticks to the tried-and-true formula ofthe previous game in being a side-scrolling beat 'em up. That said, Enter Electro is a pretty game, with a pseudo-3Dpolygonal graphical style, and some other rather nifty graphical effects. Whether it's this game's excellent gameplay, its appealing graphics, or itsuse of one of the most famous characters in comics history, this Spider-Manparody is one of the best action games out there today.
